Is this sinusitis

Never had problems with sinuses before. No runny nose or facial pain, just an incredibly painful bridge of nose. Very tender to touch and hurts if I 'wrinkle' my nose / face. I think it's a bit swollen. Having trouble putting my glasses on! Thinking of taking some Sudafed and seeing what happens.
Any ideas?

I know it sounds grim but you could try rinsing your sinuses out. The Neilmed one is good. Try some sudafed too it does sound like sinuses.

That doesn’t sound like sinusitis to me. Mine hurts around the sides of the nose. Feels full and swollen, if you bend over there is pressure. Very itchy inside the nose and also feels like air is trapped in the nose if you see what I mean. Have you knocked it?

I also wouldn’t do a sinus rinse as there are issues with sterility. A few cases were in the press about the danger.

I've been rinsing my sinuses for years. Millions of people do it - if people are having issues with it they're not using properly sterilised water 🙄

No it doesn’t sound like it. I’m a habitual sinusitis getter (lucky me eh). When I have it I feel like my heads full of concrete and it’s very tender on my cheeks. If I bend over it’s agony and the clincher is the bright green snot. Like really really green!

Evilmorty · 14/09/2019 19:41

Same NotExactlyHappyToHelp. I get it every year Sad I sometimes get the toothache as well which just makes me feel like I want to bite down on them all the time to stop them hurting. It’s irritating to say the least!

Lindy2 · 14/09/2019 19:48

It doesn't match the symptoms I have.
I start with toothache and like Evilmorty I have to bite down hard to try and push out the pain. It's a very weird feeling.
I then get massive pressure in my face and dizziness.
Pain on the bridge of your nose sounds different. Have you knocked your face at all? Is it a tension headache at all? Massaging where it hurts may help.

LakeFlyPie · 15/09/2019 22:21

Thanks for your replies, I agree it doesn't seem like classic sinusitis. No snot, no facial pain.
It does feel like I've been punched on the nose or whacked my glasses but am sure I'd have noticed if either of those things had happened. The bridge of my nose is almost too tender to touch and it is definitely a bit swollen.

Bend forward. Does the pain increase? If it does then that’s classic sinus pressure.
