Can you have bird feeders and a cat.?

About to get a garden, not huge but larger than current back yard. I’d love bird feeders. We have an outdoor cat and I’ve not been feeding the birds as any place I put them would be within catching distance.

I have a bird table and there are plenty of cats in the area. I just sit in the garden with my big pump action water gun ready to shoot cats who come stalking.

Depends on the cat. My two couldn't catch a cold so any birds would be safe!
