My cousin and I have been trying to remember this book series from our childhood and cannot for the life of us and it's driving us mental so maybe you all could help?

We read them in the 90's but not sure if they were definitely written in the 90's, could have been from the 80's. There was loads of them all with their own individual story and they were meant to be scary. The only individual story plot we can remember is this: a new doctor starts working at the local surgery and all the adults love him but the kids feel creeped out by him and try to catch him out as being evil but it turns out he was an alien all along and the kids get rid of him because as it turns out he was harming his patients in secret.

Its not goosebumps, its not are you afraid of the dark. We've googled everything we can think of!! This has been going on for 2 weeks of us wracking our brains, please help lol

Point Horror?

Nogodsnomasters · 14/09/2019 11:46

Nope! But thank you for replying. I feel like the second I see the name I'll know it, it's just on the cusp of my brain!

Fear Street
Rotten School
Mostly Ghostly
The Nightmare Room

Wriggles10 · 14/09/2019 12:48

That sounds like it could be one of the Armada Ghost Book stories. The stories were brilliant and I used to terrify myself with them when I was younger!

Karkasaurus · 14/09/2019 12:51

Oh was it a doctor or a teacher? It sounds a lot like the plot to My Teacher is an Alien.

Cerseilannisterinthesnow · 14/09/2019 13:38

Goosebumps?

Cerseilannisterinthesnow · 14/09/2019 13:39

Sorry just saw you said not goosebumps

Nogodsnomasters · 14/09/2019 14:07

It's definitely a doctor, but each book was a totally different plot that's just the only one we seem to remember! It's none of the ones suggested yet. It's slowly killing me

Are you afraid of the dark?

CarolineKate · 14/09/2019 14:58

Lol nvm sorry didn't read last sentence!

Crunchymum · 14/09/2019 16:30

Was it a Point Horror book?

Christopher Pike (I read loads of his books and the plot isn't familiar)

Nogodsnomasters · 14/09/2019 16:48

Point horror doesn't sound familiar.

I feel like it sounds similar to horrible histories but it was fiction obviously instead of non fiction. Maybe I think that cause it was 2 words starting with the same letters or something for the series name.

If I remember correctly point horror was more teen/horror instead of alien stuff. I can only think of goosebumps sorry!

HugsAreMyDrugs · 14/09/2019 16:50

The Creepers book series?

TixieLix · 14/09/2019 16:51

Scary stories to tell in the dark?

HugsAreMyDrugs · 14/09/2019 16:54

Just googled the Creepers series and there is a book called Doctor Death. Could that be the one?

Youfromthefuture · 14/09/2019 17:05

Bone Chillers series?

BarbedBloom · 14/09/2019 18:51

I sympathise. I am still trying to remember a series I read as a teenager in the 90s but no one ever knows it - maybe I dreamt it.

I can't remember many details but all the books were about a different monster. One I remember had a girl who liked a boy in a band with maybe a vampire in it. Another was maybe werewolves or wendigos. Each book was set around the same place run by a father and daughter, possibly native american who knew about it all. The daughter wanted to help people but the father kept talking about the agreement they made all the time. Anyone remember this?

MrsBirkett · 14/09/2019 18:59

Could it have been something from the Spooksville series?

Nogodsnomasters · 14/09/2019 19:17

Omg its creepers!!!!! You absolute star, I love you!
