Team building/evening ideas in Birmingham

Hi all,

Not sure where to post this but hope someone can help. Am looking to organise a team building event for work in December in Birmingham. Don't know the area at all. Any great ideas for daytime team building events and also evening dinner ideas (maybe something a bit quirky?) would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Oh heck. Must you? Grin

Check out the Thinktank museum, they have some great event space and the planetarium can be hired out after hours. You can have the dinner in the Futures gallery.

Millennium Point is also worth a look at.

Edgbaston cricket ground or BCFC are very good and you can include a private tour and dinner in the executive box.

I'll have a think if I have used any others and get back to you.

Ghetto Golf and then Digbeth Dining club for food after.

Thankyou for the ideas, keep em coming!

Reason for location is that it's central to all of our team, for the person who said 'must you'!!!

Another vote for ghetto golf- we did that for our xmas do last year. Or there's a really good bowling place in The Cube. Can't remember the name but it's much better than a normal bowling alley- quite retro with lots of other games too, and a nice bar.

My work are doing an escape room called escape live in Birmingham next month.

I'm hoping that the must you was in relation to team building rather than Birmingham!

Dh has done the escape room mentioned by the pp and enjoyed it.

PuppyMonkey · 13/09/2019 17:06

God yes, nothing against Birmingham - it’s the dreaded team building.Grin

The escape room is great fun. We split into three rooms and 'raced' each other. We did Ghetto Golf last year too, although you have to split into smaller groups and some people got overtaken, so the team ended up quite split. Really fun though.

Oh I'm totally with you on the team building is hell thing but unfortunately my boss loves it and we have to do something twice a year. My turn to organise, even though I have zero enthusiasm for it!

Axe throwing

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 13/09/2019 17:35

Can I throw them at my boss?!

Any restaurant recommendations as well please? Somewhere nice enough for a Christmas team meal but not massively pricey?

Thanks
