Football table for Xmas present?

I’m considering getting my 9 year old a football table.

He loves football and when we visited friends - he was obsessed with it.

However!

Small bedroom so important that it’s actually worth the space!

Obviously free standing the best but what’s about a really good table top one. Any one got one? Worth it or would have gone for a free standing?

And brand recommendations?

I am willing to spend a lot in order to get a good one. The key is whether a rally good solid table top (it would be on the floor though) is good enough or if actually might as well give up the space and get a free standing

Unless he has a sibling/friend to play with, expect to be constantly badgered to play with him for about a month, before he then loses all interest and it becomes a dust magnet/clothes horse/booby trap that tries to kill you. Looks resentfully at football table that takes up acres of space

What one did you buy? And even though not used, would you recommend?

We bought one many years ago in the elc sale. It had removable legs and lived under the bed when not in use. It got used a lot over the years.
