Would this be weird?

I've been away with work for a while with a colleague who's something of a friend, we're not particularly close but have worked together for about 4 years. I've really enjoyed her talking about her two children (I don't have or want children), it's fascinating and highly entertaining at times.

Someone mentioned a book they might enjoy when we were at dinner and I really wanted to get it for the two toddlers, it's only a few pounds. Would that be a weird thing to do?

Unless it's the Kama Sutra, I wouldn't mind if I was your friend.

Just seen these replies. Thank you all. I saw the book in town this morning so took the opportunity to get it.
