Do you live in or near Caernarfon? How's the nightlife?

Off to Caernarfon for a two-night stay at the beginning of October. Would be grateful if anybody has any recommendations of bars/pubs that are decent? We like live music and are staying fairly central at the black boy inn.

Are there any particularly great places to eat too?

Its not a nightclubby place!

Black Boy itself is lovely. If its cold enough they will light the fires and you can sit there all night listening to the conversation (all in Welsh) as its a very Welsh and traditional pub.

Cofi Roc is for the younger folk.

Black boy is FAB for meals. Their lasagna is the best! Fu’s restaurant for the Chinese, there are 2 Indian restaurants in town (take your own booze). One next to Argos and the other next door to Bargain Booze (handy)!

Live music? Not really at that time of year. The Anglesey Inn Has a lot over summer but its very much a Summer time pub where you sit on the quay with a pint and music.

Villa Marina behind the post office is a really nice Italian restaurant

no night life in Caernarfon, it's shite, the season is over, Bangor reopens soon for the students, Black Boy nice for food though
