Green Cone digester or Composter?

Does anyone have a Green Cone digester? Are they good? Do they actually work?

All online posts seem to be people just starting out, I just wondered if anyone had used one for some time and would recommend or have tips?

Our council don’t do food collections so I am hoping to find something to reduce our waste some more. Quite like the thought of not using a traditional composter as I am not overly green fingered and never have a reason to actually use the compost.

I shied away from the green cone as I didn't fancy digging it out every year or so. The food waste rots and water leaches away but your are still left with some mulch which will eventually fill it.

We just got a couple of the dalek style composters subsidised by the council. If you have any garden at all, the amount of compost generated is easy to dispose of.

Thanks Hereward, I didn’t realise you had to actually dig it up to clean it, that does sound like a faff. It just sounds so promising, but there isn’t much out there other than the initial people who have purchased it.
