Am off to Rome soon. My dose is 150mg. Will I be ok with prescription or do I need doctors note. Suffering with anxiety is making me anxious I will get into trouble!

Keep it in your hand luggage and I don't see why you'd be in trouble. Check with your GP if it falls under the Opium Act. If yes you'll need a medical certificate.

I think Sertraline is available in Italy though

Thank you. I only have hand luggage. I might see GP just to check. I am a nervous flyer and I dont like airports ! X

It will be absolutely fine. Make sure it’s in the original box with your name on and take a copy of the repeat prescription with you.

Look on the Italian embassy website - you can the right site through GovUK - what you can take varies from country to country. It's your responsibility to check if you're allowed it, not your GP.

Most meds don't need a Dr letter - if you do need one it will explain what you need it to state on the embassy website - and then you can request it from your GP - it's private work so they would usually charge for it and often would need a little bit of time to do it.

The NHS website has a lot for info on hw you can find this info out.

Enjoy your holiday. 😎

I flew to Spain with sertraline in June. As pp suggested, I kept it in its original packet with the pharmacy sticker on in my hand luggage. Absolutely no issues flying there or back. Have a great time in Italy Smile

Sertraline is definitely available in Italy.
Just keep it in your liquids bag with the original packaging.
A photocopy of your prescription would be helpful but not essential.

Italy is gorgeous at this time of year and now schools are back in the North (South can be off until late September) it won’t be too crowded.
