DD's homework for today. Ideas?

Given yesterday. Wear trainers and bring a small construction site toy.

First I can do, second.... DD has never been interested in vehicles, DS stopped playing with his about 4 years ago. I did a clear out last month and all his metal vehicles went. I think he kept a tractor, but don't know if that counts. (And DS doesn't want DD to take it to school)

I've heard can you borrow me and can you learn me a lot from friends who are northern.
I just assumed it's a dialect thing?

As for toys. Don't panic! The teachers often ask all 30 because they garuntee to get 10-20 items. That's usually enough for a lesson.
It's more a resource thing than a punishable homework!

Honestly the teacher won’t mind.

Don’t worry about it.

Oh another one: you can't get much done on a building site without a mug for tea

Or a tea bag, or lump of sugar.

Having said that our builder drinks only green tea so that would be good too.

Tape measure.

FinallyHere · 12/09/2019 11:37

Oh yes, good call @TeenPlusTwenties 😀

LolaSmiles · 12/09/2019 11:40

Eugh. I hate these types of homework so much.
How old are they?

Teen has a good idea.
As for shoeboxes then it would involve asking a shop.

What about a gardening trowel or fork?

user1474894224 · 12/09/2019 11:41

Safety goggles, hard hat or high vis vest out the dressing up box

Frith2013 · 12/09/2019 11:47

A piece of string with a weight on the end as a plumb bob? Anything obscure from your tool kit like a spirit level, that kids might not have seen?

LOL at can you borrow me or learn me. Neither makes sense!

Her0utdoors · 12/09/2019 11:56

Was going to suggest lunch box or thermos, but a big bag of sugar and a crusty spoon would be better.

FinallyHere · 12/09/2019 13:09

Loving these ideas 😀

Oh, oh, oh another one

A great sheaf of papers setting out the rules and regulations. Or an old CD in a sleeve proclaiming that it is the health and safety rules applicable to the site.
