Blocked my toilet

Can anyone recommend anything you've tried (that has worked) to unblock? Apart from a plunger

I used to buy this one from B&Q which was like a can with a plunger attached to it, it was brilliant but I can't find it or remember the sodding name.

Please help

You can use a mop with a bin bag or carrier bag around the end and then thrust it as far in as you can and then with a pumping action you can create a vacuum similar to a plunger and the blockage will clear.

One Shot. We got this from a hardware store. Nasty stuff but did the trick.

The mop trick works. Pretty sure there is one that involves washing up liquid too, but not tried that.
Sometimes just sticking a wire coat hanger down and poking it does it.

Yes it did. It basically melted everything.
