Hello, I could really do with parents advice or help, not judging. my son turned 3 in July and has recently started school, he was put in a private nursery aged two to help him mix with other children and get used to leaving me and my partner, he loved it, they loved him and he done well. Our big concern is his speech, he talks when he wants and when it suits him, (yes that sounds like a normal child) he says most animal names and noises, mummy, daddy, nanny, bampietc there all very clear , words that are not so clear, love you, thank you, etc.. maybe another 20. He still jibber jabbers a lot! He’s had ear tests which have come back clear, he did suffer with a lot of ear infections when he was a baby. Am I a bad mother for being slightly embarrassed taking him to school, when every other child talks sooo clearly, communicates and listens. I know all kids are different but mine seems to be sooo different. He’s so energetic, 100 miles an hour 24/7! But lately his temper tantrums are awful, not even a week in school and we’ve been called in because he’s hit and kicked children. I want to cry when I see him mixing with other children because he’s jibber jabbering and there talking to eachother. He’s starting speech therapy next week, We’ve tried everything with him, tried being soft, tried being tougher, Including him in everything, take him on so many days out, he gets easily bored and distracted, literally don’t know what to do! I think him not being able to communicate is frustrating for him and us. Can anyone help or relate??? 😥😥😥
