Where do you put your phone when using a backpack?

I wear trousers that have no pockets or pockets not big enough for my mobile. I also use a backpack so I can fit in my laptop etc. If you wear a backpack and pocketless trousers, where do you put your phone?

In my backpack. And get it out when I want to use it.

I'm always worried about putting it in my backpack as it'd be so easy for someone to take it and me not realise. Although I suppose if my laptop is in there too I should probably worry more about that...

I do put mine in the main bit rather than an outer pocket. I think you would notice someone nicking your laptop!

Most decent backpacks will have various pockets for this sort of stuff, mine has one that sits against your back when the pack is on, so pretty safe. But I always have a handbag too so mine's in there!
