Why are you up?

I cocked up badly today and let the toddler fall.asleep in the car at 5.45. Couldn't wake him when I got home so put him to bed thinking it was only an hour earlier than his usual bedtime (he slept through a nappy change and getting pyjamas on!) so he would probably just wake an hour earlier than normal. WRONG. He was up bawling his head off at midnight and only settled back to sleep about 15 minutes ago. I am, of course, wide awake now. DD will likely have me up at 6.30. Sob.

So why is everyone else awake?

Menopause insomnia 😱

One dog asked to go out for a wee so then they all have to accompany him so we went out as he pee’d up a lamppost.

We are doing a fairly new thing where instead of letting them out in the garden, I take them on leads out the front entrance so that their paws don’t get muddied on the lawns.

Insomnia... I've been awake since 2am. Feeling a little anxious as I am having minor surgery to remove a mole on my leg in the morning... I know it'll be fine but still I worry

Another thinking 9 week old was waking for a feed. He last fed at 9.15pm. We're now 7 and a half hours down, and he's been asleep since 10.30pm. So I'm just watching him sleep now, he's started fidgeting, I suspect he'll be awake by 5am, just as I start to drop off again 😂

Nice not feeling so alone at this hour! Sorry to hear about sadness, insomnia and sleep-unfriendly babies.

Money worries, dating horrors and probably too much caffeine.

Working the night shift and waiting to see the sunrise. Looking forward to my bed later this morning.

RumisLove · 11/09/2019 04:56

I'm anxious/ stressed/ worried if I'm making the right decision and I can't get back to sleep.

It's nice to see others awake too!

I'm on call. It's been a very busy night. Calls every 30 mins. I work 9-5 Mon-Fri and am 16 weeks pregnant.

It's such fun.

Five month old twins who grumble in their sleep all night. They don't actually wake up, as long as you keep shushing and settling them every so often. But if you leave them to grumble they will inevitably wake themself/the other one up, so not much sleep is had here. My OH and I split the night shift and I'm just clocking off so I finally get some sleeeeep!

Chilledout11 · 11/09/2019 05:09

Can't sleep. Awake past hour. Planning a trip I need to make and need the toilet. Not sleeping much lately and unsure why.

BlackNoir · 11/09/2019 05:10
