Tips for painting a kitchen ceiling and walls

My kitchen was fitted over 10 years ago. A new ceiling was fitted which is still ‘raw’ plaster and I stripped the paper off the walls. Quite how I’ve lived with it like this for so long I don’t know.

I did paint my bathroom ages ago. It was a nightmare.....saved only by the fact that it’s a tiny ceiling.

Is a roller the answer?

Wash it very well before you start, kitchens are greasy buggers.

Apply a really thinned down mist coat first, especially on the bare plaster ceiling.

Use a washable paint.
