Calais trip for wine

Has anyone done a Calais trip just to stock up on wine recently?

Are there still deals on where they pay your ferry crossing?

Yes. Pidou calais offer free crossing either P&O or eurotunnel when spending over a certain amount.

These days wouldn't have thought that it would be any cheaper going to Calais to get wine than buying it here.

Still considerably cheaper surprisingly

If adding fuel from a far and crossing it doesn’t help but with free crossing it’s well worth it
