Anyone got a Quooker tap?

Is it worth it?

They have a new one out now that also does sparkling cold water Smile

If you have one, did you buy direct from Quooker?

How funny - I've been talking to them today, about their suitability for commercial use. The person who recommended them says they're excellent, and seem well priced compared to others.

I have one. I love it. Definitely the best kitchen gadget I have. It doesn't do sparkling water though - too old for that. I got mine through my kitchen supplier.

twosoups1972 · 10/09/2019 14:21

Did you put yours in at the same time as your kitchen @alterego? Or later?

We put it in when we did the kitchen. At the time I thought it was a bit of an extravagance but it's been great. DH reckons we've saved ££ on electricity as I now no longer boil too much water for one mug of coffee nor boil the kettle and forget to make the coffee at all!

We've got one and love it. We put ours in earlier this year and the kitchen has been in for a while. Was very easy to do and went direct to Quooker. You do need a plug point within a certain distance of the tank so we did have to get our electrician to put one in under the sink.

ShivD · 10/09/2019 14:47

How big is the tank? And also, what kind of price are they?

BarbaraofSeville · 10/09/2019 14:53

They seem to be between about £700 and £1k+. You'd have to save an awful lot of wasted boiled kettles to consider them a moneysaving appliance.

TheFaerieQueene · 10/09/2019 14:54

I have one and it is brilliant.

twosoups1972 · 10/09/2019 15:06

@mostlysinging did Quooker install it for you?

OP posts:
mostlysinging · 10/09/2019 15:17

Quooker did install it for me, were very helpful and talked through what i needed before fitting (mainly the plug socket) and the fitter checked the water pressure etc while doing the fitting. I think they subcontract the fitting out and I know the guy we had said that he covers quite a large area but the further south you get the more fitters there are!

Miaowing · 10/09/2019 15:37

We have one

When I got the kitchen done - DH was totally against it

"How much for a bloody tap"

So we didn't get one and he put in a cheap tap. Which sprayed water all over the place.

I convinced him to get a quooker .

He now thinks its the best thing since sliced bread.

If its converted him - I'd say its a winner

twosoups1972 · 13/09/2019 15:05

Just went to have a look in a local stockist. Unfortunately the one that also does sparkling water is out as you need a huge cube-shaped tank under the sink. We haven't got room for that. So I think I might go for the one that does boiling water/cold filtered water and a mixer. I presume I can take out my existing mixer tap if this one does everything?
