Ideas for 10th birthday party

DD1 is turning 10. She can’t think of anywhere she wants to go for her party so I suggested having it at home.

She really likes watching YouTube type challenges and crafts and she’s always asking to do them.

I thought of doing a pizza challenge where they each get a mini pizza and have to add weird ingredients and then try to eat them. I don’t normally let her do these as I hate waste but I’m willing to relax for her party.

The other idea was making their own face masks with ingredients like avocado, banana, oats, yogurt etc and then applying them but I think it will be too messy as she now wants 8 guests plus DD2 so 10 in total.

Can anyone think of some similar ideas? Or even something completely different. She’s gone off making slime and isn’t really into makeup but liked the idea of the face masks.

Last year when dd turned 9 we did tie dye t shirts and pizza decorating at home. The pizzas were eaten for food and tie dye went home with instructions instead of a party bag.

Maybe you could get one of those science party entertainers in. When my DD was 10 she had a swimming party, it was the cheapest and easiest party any of mine have had.

She doesn’t fancy the science idea. Tie dye could be good but I think it’s too messy for 10 kids. We’ve done cake decorating before and pizza making at pizza express.

Grab a ball of string or wool and some tape and head to your hallway. Create a Mission Impossible style maze and the aim is to make their way from one end to the other without touching the string.
Hama bead keyrings
Friendship bracelets
My DD played Googly Eyes www.argos.co.uk/product/5587724 at her cousin's house and loved it. I’m sure it would work with 10 players.
You could have a piñata.
You could do t-shirt decorating. Just get cheap white t-shirts, some fabric pens and paint, fabric glue and a selection of ribbons, buttons and off cuts of material.
While they're doing the activity, you could do a treasure hunt around the garden if you have one.
They could make pizzas for dinner and have a film afterwards with popcorn.
