Wellies for welly hating 3 year old ? Help please?

Can anyone recommend some soft wellies for my son. He hates normal wellies, but preschool are saying he needs them to go outside on the grass. We previously had baby bogs which are neoprene. I think someone recommended them on here before. But he's now an infant size 10, and it looks like they stop at UK 9 ( he has giant feet and is a tall 3 year old ) Help me please ?

Crocs are lightweight and softer that traditional rubber wellies.

Next do thinsulate wellies that have a soft lining and cuff at the top which might work.

I think the issue is he grabs at the back of his calf, where the welly rubs so need something low or soft top.

Muck boots are neoprene and they do all sizes. Lovely prints for kids too.

Pricey mind.

NannyR · 10/09/2019 12:01

Bogs come in children's and adult sizes too.

Crocs are amazing! I want some actually

Lucked · 10/09/2019 12:02

What about a Crocs puff or snowboot. Pricey but may be more useful if we get a cold winter.

The brand Bobux do completely waterproof boots, which aren't wellies - would be wear these?

Joules do roll up wellies, which might be softer.
Or what about waterproof walking boots?

Whathappenedtothelego · 10/09/2019 12:18

Actually Joules do ankle height wellies too.

What about second hand ones so they're already worn in?

spiderlight · 10/09/2019 13:00

Mine had some soft-topped boots called Splats (these) but they seem to be unavailable now. Maybe ebay?

PullingMySocksUp · 10/09/2019 13:03

What about you cut the top off some wellies so they’re really short?
