What to do about eBay seller/return

Bought an item in eBay in June (designer bag, authentic, huge bargain). When it arrived it was broken - although it hadn't cost much it was unusable and fixing it was beyond my (limited) ability. so I requested a return/refund. Seller agreed, I posted the item. Two weeks went by and seller hadn't refunded, so eBay had to step in.

A few days later she messaged me to say that she'd refunded me but hadn't received the item. I checked the tracking and delivery had been attempted, but no-one was home so RM left a card. Told the seller this, she requested redelivery but again RM couldn't deliver as she wasn't home.

She didn't collect the item from the PO and it was returned to me by RM. This was mid-July. I tried to refuse delivery but postie wouldn't allow me to. I sent her a message asking for another returns label, but got no reply. I've messaged her three times since, but nothing.

Do I have to keep it until she bothers to get back to me? It's quite a bulky parcel and I'd like it gone. Her account is still active - she's sold lots of stuff recently - so it's clear she's ignoring me. I'm worried that as soon as I get rid of it she'll send me a message wanting it back! What should I do?

If you have proof that she didn't collect it them ebay will refund. Have you called ebay?

TheRebelAlliance I've had the refund, although I did have ask eBay to sort it because she didn't. This was back in July. Problem is that the bag got sent back to me and she's not replying to my messages - I'm worried she'll cause bother if I donate it or whatever and she finally decides she wants it back. How long do I reasonably have to hold onto it?
