Boil on skin while on holiday in US

I've had this boil at the top of my inner thigh for about 5 days now. It was originally smallish and I tried putting a hot compress on it which didn't have much affect but didn't think much of it.

Fast forward and I'm now in Las Vegas and getting married to DP in a few days. Evidently the heat and walking hasn't agreed with the boil as it's now larger and feels deeper and with a greater circumference.

I've been doing hot compresses again, but not sure if it's having any effect. Is there anything I can get from a chemist (Walgreens?) that would help? I'd rather avoid seeing a doctor at this stage (not sure it's bad enough just now and I feel ok in myself, no temperature or anything). It's just rubbing as I walk and I think that's made it worse. Thanks for any advice.

I always get horrible things on America - bruised and swollen varicose veins, haemorrhoids, tonsillitis... every bloody time. It’s the heat I tells ya!

(Not a lot of help and you really don’t want pics of my piles!)

Here's a photo for the curious. It's not very exciting though haha.

I went to the minute clinic and was examined, asked lots of questions and prescribed oral and topical medication. And had to pay equivalent of £180 for examination and treatment. So I'll need to see if I can claim that back on my insurance. Hopefully the stuff clears up the boil anyway.
