An exciting topic I know but I need to buy some induction pans soon.

Please tell me about yours - how much did you pay, what make etc?

Thank you.

I bought Ikea 365 stainless steel saucepan and circulon non stick frying and saute pans. The Ikea ones were pretty cheap but good solid pans that still look like new give years later. The circulon pans were more expensive but they are used very regularly and the non stick is still fine and not scratched or peeled so compared to replacing a cheaper pan every year or so have been good value for money.

Saucepans from Lakeland. Large saute/stirfry pan with lid, omelette pan and frying pan from Prestige. Also cast iron shallow saute pan from Sainsbury's. Very satisfied with all of them.

I had prestige pans that I bought in 1994 that were still looking perfect when now XH got the induction cooker. I bought induction prestige pans...had those for 4 years so far..

Thanks everyone...anyone bought the tefal brand?

BarbaraofSeville · 09/09/2019 16:38

I have some quite old 'Jamie Oliver for Tefal' stainless steel pans that I've successfully used with an induction hob for about 4 years now.

I also use a couple of Ikea non stick frying pans - not the cheapest ones they sell, but probably the next range up and a weird cheap stockpot thing from Asda with the name stone something.

To be honest, I'm not sure that it's worth spending a lot of money on pans. I wouldn't buy the cheapest ones if you can afford not to, but I've only ever used standard/mid range ones and they've lasted for years of near daily use. Just look for something that feels nice and solid and not flimsy.

I got some steel ones from TK Maxx - can't remember brand, they weren't cheap, but they're shit. Everything sticks.
My favourite pans are the scoville neverstick ones.

I’ve got Ikea365+ pans too and they’re great. One of them is more than 15 years old but you can’t tell which one by looking.
