What shall I do with them that's super quick, preferably sweet, and that dd2 could help with (she doesn't like meringue, strange child, so not those!)?

Macaroons or mousse are options for sweet things.

NannyR · 08/09/2019 17:26

They freeze really well if you want to save them for a meringue in the future.

Is it cooked meringues she doesn't like? Apple Snow uses raw meringue mix.

Amaretti biscuits?

Blibbyblobby · 08/09/2019 17:44

If you have a whole egg as well, make french toast.

Blibbyblobby · 08/09/2019 17:47

( I don't like meringues either because I find egg whites by themselves have a slight wet dog / stagnant water undertone. So if I have spare whites I usually combine with whole eggs to make a lighter version of a dish like omelette, eggy bread etc)

Coconut macaroons from Nigella’s How To Be a Domestic Goddess, they are gorgeous.

MardAsSnails · 08/09/2019 17:53

I’d scramble them and give them to my dog, but she loves them and I’m soft.

lucysmam · 08/09/2019 18:08

She doesn't like omelette or eggy bread either ( she really is quite fussy). Macaroons sound like a good idea, we'll get the washing in then have a google for a recipe.

Apple snow sounds good to me @TheWoollybacksWife but I'm not sure whether she'd eat it because of the texture. I'll save it though - I'll try it one day for myself instead!
