Six the Musical, appropriate for 10 year old?

So my 12 year old daughter wants to go see Six the Musical. The website recommends age 12+ however my 10 year old daughter would like to come with us. Has anyone seen the show and can you tell me if you think it's appropriate for a 10 year old or why it has a recommended age of 12?

I’ve not seen it but I’m told that Catherine Howards song is very emotional as she recounts how she’s basically been abused by men from a young age.

However I’ve just been on the official website and it says age 10 plus.

I've just had a look again as I was sure that I read 12+ however on looking a bit further Glasgow recommends 12+ and Edinburgh recommends 10+.

Will get some tickets then and see how it goes

It has some quite sexually explicit lyrics and themes - one song is essentially all about sexual exploitation. I'd say 12+ rather than 10 to be honest.

I took my 8 year old. Catherine Howard's song is about sex and abuse. Ann Boleyn has quite a bit of innuendo. But it all flew right over my 8 year old's head and she loved it. There's more risque lyrics in the top 10.

I'm planning on taking my 7 year old, she loves the soundtrack. The rude stuff will just go completely over head so will be fine. I've heard worse in chart music!

Saw a clip on the one show I think it looked like it was aimed at 10 year olds TBH.
