Keeping school polo shirts white

Any tips? Dc have had white polo shirts for pre school, got them filthy, never come clean. I wasn't too bothered for pre school, bit for school I'd like to keep them clean if possible.

If you're stay relative clean, what powder/liquid do you use? Stain remover? Temperature of wash?

I honestly am an adult who can manage all other aspects of washing!

The best ones I’ve found are Sainsbury’s as they dry well and don’t need ironing. 40 degree normal wash with biological washing powder and a very occasional soak in Milton if they get stained. They stay bright white and have never gone gray.

White vanish powder

I only put other whites in with them. Wash on 40 big scoop of vanish platinum whitener in with the powder amd then separately bleach any that have stains.

I also buy cheap one so dont feel too bad binning them if they still look manky after a wash. I get the sainsburys easy care ones 3 pack for £3.50. They can be worn straight from the dryer which is a bonus.

Vanish whitening powder 60°c wash and line dry in the sun if possible. Only wash all whites together too.

I only wash whites together, normal Persil non bio but bio washing powder can help with some stains.

I use the vanish liquid, direct on the stain or a scoop of the powder in the wash. For fat/oil based stains normal washing up liquid on the stain works wonder.

Wash whites only together. Bio powder 40 degrees with scoop of fake vanish for whites

Fairy non bio and every now and then a cap of Ace bleach.

I've just discovered Napisan. It's better than vanish and anything else I've ever used on whites. I shit thee not- it's amazing.

Napisan. I swear it’s vanish in a cheaper box.

Schools won’t care if they are stained. They expect the kids to get mucky in school.
