That's it me brain has finally left me, and I'm clearly zombieing through life. I've just discovered that 2020 May Day bank holiday will be celebrated on friday 8th may. A couple of years ago I tried to deposit my DC at the school gate on an inset dayBlush. Please cheer me up with your zombie storiesSmile

Dunno OP but I've just put that BH in my phone calendar so I don't take DD to school that day (assuming the school will be closed?) So thanks.

littlefuckers · 07/09/2019 08:33

ddij me too! Honestly since having children my brain has disappeared into my boots, to be fair I wasn't blessed with the best in the first place, but sod grey matter mine's soggy matter.
avenger it was when I was checking the school calendar that I saw Friday 8th may as bank holiday, and thought, na can't be, must be a typo, googled it, and yes Friday is the bank holiday. So glad I checked, or I'd have made myself look like a complete nob rocking up to school on Monday asking about the day changeGrin

I recently found that out. Why on a Friday? Bank holiday are always on a Monday

crosser62 · 07/09/2019 08:37

I have kids.

I also work a mix of night shifts and day shifts in the week, every week.

I am

Hopeless, clueless and discovering slippers on my feet in Aldi having forgotten my shopping list and bags for life and pound for the trolley is a regular occurrence.

OccasionalNachos · 07/09/2019 08:38

It’s because of the VE Day anniversary @katewhinesalot

mummaminnie · 07/09/2019 08:40

Google search gave me this..

In 2020, May Day would have taken place on Monday, May 4. But to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, the government pushed back the bank holiday to May 8, a Friday.

At the self service tills in Asda yesterday and noticed the woman in front had left her cash back. Called her back, paid for my things and just walking out when I'm called back by a member of staff. I'd forgotten my cash back 🤦‍♀️

PeriComoToes · 07/09/2019 08:56

News to me. When was this announced? That's sent my brain in a spin.

Bastards could have given us an extra day as well as the bank holiday.

littlefuckers · 07/09/2019 09:09

crosser you're bloody awesome, no way could I mix night/ day shifts and kids, slippers are seriously underrated as foot wareGrin
3boys brilliant! If it cheers you up, I've left my bank card in the machine at the supermarket...I'm so used to tapping the wretched thing that the times I've gone over £30, means I panic about remembering the PIN number....or the card in this caseBlush
peri (love your username but too lazy to type it all!)....I know, the bastards(!) why not give us two days off, even better the whole week...I might be pushing it there!

Here I am.. zombying through a night shift.
I will be zomying through the school run in the morning after this night shift... can’t say I won’t be wearing slippers and an inside out t shirt.

Even chocolate doesn’t boost me.
