Awake in pain

I'm in agony with a bloody ingrown toe nail and I mean agony. I've tried the cut it, ice packed, pain relief and still nothing.

I'm exhausted.

What do I do now? It's all inflamed, hot with a piercing pain in.

I reckon you're stuck with this til first thing.

Honestly I don't know about blood poisoning other than apparently it's surprising I never had it, once as a teen I ripped an entire nail off the bed and it swelled up larger than the big toe which it was next to, and was right, hot, red, there was pus..... I couldn't sleep at all. But I dealt with it myself and over a few weeks it was going down.

To be honest I don't recommend that.

Neither do I know exactly what you ought to do, specially with it being Saturday now.

But didn't want you left hanging.

Oh and in solidarity, I'm awake feeling pukey, and with pains associated with my disability. It sucks and I'm sending conceptual codeine to you.

My son is having his ingrown toe nail op next week. You need to soak it in salt water. You may need antibiotics if it's infected.
