So...

Finally made the decision to sort out my iPhone and do the iOS update which I haven't done in almost 3 years since getting the phone!

Apple advised (and I was advised on here too) to backup to iCloud. Apple person walked me through this and I had to buy more data and started the backup...

Problem is almost 2 years since I last backed up!

Was getting ridiculous "2 days left" messages but now just checked again and it clearly hasn't worked

So what do I do? Don't want to lose photos, contacts, calendar info etc some stuff I'm not fussed about but some i would hate to lose.

I DO NOT have OR have access to a PC or Mac.

I have the phone and a kindle fire that's it!

Housebound and phone is my life line

Please help? Thanks

I would back up the photos separately to everything else. They can take forever. What size memory does your phone have?

I have no idea how would I check?

Personally I would download Google photos and back up all photos to that. If you choose high quality you can back up them all for free.

Also enable auto back up here for future photos.

Once you've done that delete the photos on your device and then try the back up to iCloud again.

2 years of backing up is going to take a long time.
