How do I fix ink on fabric

InkKeepsRunning · 06/09/2019 13:56

Any crafty types able to help? I’m printing onto fabric using my normal printer - but I need the print to be waterproof. I’ve tried allsorts - salt water / vinegar and others but none seem to be very successful? Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Heat? Maybe a hot iron with a something protective between the ink and the iron

I came on to say heat too. I have a hot air craft gun I use for this but the hot iron should work too - unless it’s a manmade fabric that will buckle/melt under the heat.

I’ll give that a go. It’s on to cotton so that bit shouldn’t be a problem. My mum always says that hot ‘sets’ a stain - so hopefully it might work. Thanks
