Skateboard recommendation needed please for DS 9

DS has decided he would like a skateboard for his birthday, can anyone recommend a good starter skateboard for him? And what accessories will I need to buy to make sure he is safe?

Despite it not being billed as a starter skateboard he seems to be doing well on it (slowly) and it's not stupid money in case he goes off the idea in six months.

In terms of safety, Amazon have the elbow/knee/glove pad packs at a good price, combined with a cycle helmet.
