This is a little long winded.
Around a month ago DP and I were chatting late at night and I told him since moving into the house I felt a little uncomfortable on the stairs, one in particular. It turned out he also didn't like the stairs either.
Anyway. Today I was giving the kids dinner and middle child said she saw something on the stairs (as shadow she said). I told her it was just the light and immediately after the stairs started creaking as if someone was walking on them. The girls got a little hysterical (9 and 10 yo) and I told them it was just the house settling and nothing was on the stairs. They are now in bed and I'm feeling quite uncomfortable. Tell me practical reasons I'm mad please!
