Help me choose a Dyson (or not) please

This is boring, I know .

Hoping for help from you lovely ladies, please. Have read several Dyson threads with interest but need a little more help.

I'm scandi and Dyson isnt a big thing here, so haven't anyone to ask.
My house is about 2600 sq ft, we are 2-4 people here most of the time, plus two cats. The house is surrounded by birch trees, so have lots and lots of birch seeds for a couple of months a year.

If I vacuum once a week, I get tumble dustballs . Thinking it wouldn't be such a hassel to vacuum with a Dyson cordless, I'm looking into Dyson 8, 10 or animal. Would love the v8, but do you think it is enough? both v10 and animal are twice the v8 price.

Also do you know how long the battery life is, since you cannot change battery?

They claim one charge will give you up to 60 min. usage (v10) is that your experience? And the v8?

Is it noisy? I currently have an Electrolux low noise one.

And finally would you recommend a Dyson at all?

This one sucks at sucking... I regret buying it every time I use it.

Another shark voter here. I ran out of steam with Dyson. Scratched our hardwood Kempas flooring to death. Apparently they don't test on wooden flooring - only Perspex (according to dyson head office!!)
