Looking for school lunch ideas to take advantage of the fact my ds has started eating a wider variety of food. All suggestions appreciated.

pot of hummus with strips of pitta bread and veggie sticks
pikeltets spread with cream cheese and a bit of salmon on top
hot dogs with spaghetti (pour boiling water into a thermos, leave for 5 mins then tip it out to keep it warm)
(this one sounds a little odd!)- greek yogurt with this mixed in (you can add a little honey if you like)

I'm following, always looking for inspiration (mine can be fussy little gits though lol)

Usual here is

  • Sandwiches or pitta pockets, usually tuna, salmon, chicken or cheese spread
  • flapjack or biscuit
  • cubes of cheese
  • carrot sticks/cucumber slices
  • easy hold piece of fruit such as satsuma, apple, banana
  • yoghurts

Sometimes do a pasta salad or a cous cous one as a change. Just chop cherry tomatoes, spring onions, red peppers etc up (or whatever veg they fancy, grated carrots or maybe olives stirred in as well)

Thanks @sleepismysuperpower1 I'll look for the pikeltets tomorrow and love your idea with keeping the thermos warm.

@RosesAndRaindrops do you just do the pasta salad dry with no sauce and just add the veg? I will try this and the couscous salad for him, thanks
