Our DS has autism and we are having difficulty getting council transport.
He has has council transport since he started school. Now things are getting complicated.
College consists of area A and Area B. He completed area A ( age 16-18) and has been offered another year in area B. The college is in another county too.
For theclast 2 years Area A has written the required letter to our council. This year we have asked Ara B to do this and they've refused. Not their job.
Council refuse to have referral off us as parents or the careers service. And to top it off keep saying they only serve the college for courses 9am-4pm when our DS's course is 9-3. They are assuming our DS can wait an hour - he cant, certainly not if unsupervised.
Any advise gratefully received.
