Anxiety, can't sleep. Anyone else up?

Got a stomach ache and can't seem to drift off thanks to anxiety! Somewhat busy day tomorrow so I hope I feel okay by the morning.

Anyone else up?

I'm up and wide awake with creaking ears and a snoring dog.
Currently sat on sofa with a cuppa wondering why I'm awake with creaking ears and a snoring dog ☹️

Hello 👋🏻. I am also awake. One year old DD is going through a "I don't want to go back to sleep" phase which isn't terribly delightful when battling first trimester fatigue and sickness Confused

sashh · 05/09/2019 04:05

I woke up early, I always do, it's just a bit earlier than normal. OK bacon butties all round?

Emelene · 05/09/2019 04:08

After 5 hours of effort my baby slept for .. 45 mins in her cot. Send me caffeine. I expected this at 10 weeks not nearly 10 months.

Glad to know I'm not alone!

LetsBreakItDown · 05/09/2019 04:18

I'm awake! At the beginning of a breakup, so I'm at that overthinking, angry, sad, heartbroken stage, though it was my decision. I've managed a few hours each night for about a week, but seem to wake around 2.30 most nights and can't get back off. Gives me time to do housework while my DD sleeps though!

BecauseItIz · 05/09/2019 04:19

I just had bacon twas delicious.

My 13month old has woken 7 times since 10pm. I'm in my first trimester too and my back is hurting so bad and I seem to have developed insomnia. Ihad to stop my pain medication and others due to baby which has completely messed with my sleep. Paracetamol and another coffee for me.

Jxtina86 · 05/09/2019 04:22

I'm awake. 8 week old DD fed at 2, went straight back down (a rare occurence) but I haven't been able to sleep since. She's got her jabs at 10am and I think I'm just nervous about them! Lying here listening to white noise and DH snoring...

smaragda · 05/09/2019 04:26

I'm up! Trying to get back into a routine after summer holidays! It's 6:25 where I am and tomorrow the kids have to be up at this time so we can leave at 7 for school-it's going to be rough with two teenagers who have gotten used to very weird summer sleep schedules!

JMAngel1 · 05/09/2019 04:28

Me too awake since 2.45 - now on sofa with tea. I would love to just get on, start making lunches, unload dishwasher etc but I would wake the whole house up. Wish I had a huge house with thick walls!
Just stressed about work stuff - got that back to school feeling!

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 05/09/2019 04:33

Child woke me up at 1.30am and I haven’t slept since! Not anxious but lots on. Work, starting school, blah blah. Brain full.

user764329056 · 05/09/2019 04:35

Awake here too, general anxiety and chronic insomnia, chicken and egg in that don’t know which came first, but it seems to be my life now, soooo frustrating, am watching trash TV

Brot64 · 05/09/2019 07:17

@LifeOfBox I will take your advice next time. I am exhausted and resembling a panda as I ended up doing some work. Waiting to drop DCs off and then head back in for a nap as working from home for the next two weeks and have managed to do what I needed to do this morning earlier. How's everyone planning on surviving through the day with so little sleep?

grincheux · 05/09/2019 10:26

@Brot I'm going to see my boss in a coffee shop then head back to bed. I feel even worse than I would otherwise for having no sleep!
