Teaching children at home

I'm really disappointed with my ds learning at school, there is a number of children with behavioural issues in his class and this means that the learning is affected. I'm keen to start doing some teaching at home to supplement what he is learning at school and was wondering if there is anyone that does something similar? I'm not really sure where to start!Smile

i would work through a few pages of a workbook each weekend. try this one here for english, here for maths, looking in particular as to what he has done at school that week. these cards here are great for spellings because they turn them into a game, and you can get a times table song cd to play in the car which helps them sink in. i think its a case of making it fun (so singing along in the car, prize for who can get all the table right without making a mistake) rather than drilling it in x

Thank you so much! That's very helpful. I've already bought some work books but have ordered the cards and CD! Smile
