I’m thinking of subscribing to a magazine for my 10 year old girl. Was looking at this one and a few sciencey type boxes.
Do you subscribe to anything like this, or not any more?
What would you recommend if you do ?

At that sort of age, mine sed to enjoy the First News Newspaper.
I'd then take them into school and they were very popular reading for the youngsters there too.

We had it for 2 years and my did age 9 loved it.

We've had Whizz Pop Bang for 2 years (maybe 3) now. DD2 is now nearly 10 and DD1 (12) still loves to read it.

The Week Junior, is far better than First News, I think - there's much more in each issue. I even turned to TWJ myself for help with the Irish Backstop...

Aquila is an absolutely fantastic all-rounder. Bit of science, literature, philosophy, maths. Both kids love it and have learnt loads.

The Phoenix is a top-notch comic. Can't praise it enough.

As for science boxes, try looking at MEL Chemistry.

That’s great thanks for those ideas, she is not quite ready for news yet so wouldn’t go for This week etc till she’s a bit older. Would I be better with a box or magazine? Not sure what they get more out of?

Suppose I could get 2 mags for the price of a box. Is the Phoenix story based, think I’m aiming for non fiction/ to inspire activities we can do together.
