making my first ever lasagne, i'd seen tips on cooking the bolognaise as long as possible and also adding sugar, i thought it looked too thick to be able to cook it for long enough so added water, i think i've put too much in though! it's been bubbling for around 30 mins now am i right in thinking it'll reduce down into a thick sauce again or will it just keep bubbling and be watery?

How's it doing op? If that pic was after you stirred it, then it would need another 30 mins.
Ive got a lasagne in the oven now (must be the day for it) and my sauce was drier than what you've got in the pan. If it was before, then give it a stir, i find the liquid goes to the top and it looks wetter. My cheese sauce was on the runnier side.

Just assemble to lasagne and shove it in the oven. Who cares if it ends up a little too floppy this time. It's your first time. And it's a week night.... everyone will be starving if you faff too long. Another time you can simmer the Ragu for hours and hours......I bet this still tastes delicious.

It looks great. I take my hat off to you making it just for yourself, but at least you can portion it up. It freezes well.
