Dirty sofa

I have a cream cord sofa and a child. Any ideas how to clean up the arms? They are not good..and I think I made them worse with Vanish spray.

My vac washer is brilliant, I got it on groupon for about £80. Other than that, I don't know. You'd need something to saturate it but also to remove all the water, or you'll get a tide line. You could hire a rug doctor for a day and do it that way (if you get one with the hose attachment?)
