Stupid heavy period. Dr?!

I have pcos & endo. My periods generally come whenever they please, last 2-3 days, are horrifically heavy and then sod off again with perhaps a faint whiff of “I might come back again...no I won’t” a couple of weeks later.

Normally I have about an 10-13h window where I have to change a v heavy flow tampon every hour, lots of clots and flooding whenever I stand up, I constantly worry about what massacre I’lol see when I stand up...all lovely Hmm I have had advice from the doctors and am currently waiting to see a specialist. Although unpleasant, this kind of bleeding is normal for me

But I’ve currently been having a ridiculously heavy one for the last 3 days. I’ve used 53 super heavy flow tampons in 68 hours, I had to set an alarm every hour last night so I didn’t flood the bed...(I am exhausted ). If this continues into tomorrow, do I warrant getting an emergency Dr appointment?! I’m definitely not pregnant.

I can’t work out wether this is something I need to see someone about ASAP or bring up at my next appointment because v heavy bleeding isn’t unusual for me. Honestly my brain is completely broken!

Yes, I would ask for an appointment tomorrow. I think it's justified.

I think I would if I were you. That amount of blood loss must be exhausting too.

Flooding a pad or tampon every hour isn’t normal (even if it is normal for you, IYSWIM). Definitely see your GP.

Not normal and I imagine you are probably anaemic too.
I would get an appointment asap.

Yes get the appointment. That's not normal for anyone.

My hospital runs an emergency gynae clinic. If yours does I would go there. Ours runs 24 hours a day and it's a sit and wait clinic.
