Evorel patches placement. Any advice?

I'm new to hrt and so far so bloody good. I feel so much better instantly.

I'm on my 2nd patch and think I'm getting my placement wrong.
1st one I stuck hip bone height about two inches back round on my bum.

This one I've done opposite side and forward of my hip two inches.

I'm sporty, both have got sweaty ish. They unpeel. They tug.

My knickers rubbed both and smudged them off.

They therefore hurt.

Where is the best place to bung them?

I found lower down, properly on my bum cheek.

Oddly enough i had issues in the first couple of weeks, but then it was as though my body got used to them.

I've come off them now because of the shortage. Gone to a coil and will be on oestrogen patches.

I put then on my bum cheek. I've found lately they don't seem so sticky though.
I'm jealous you have any, I have a month's supply left and can't find any more 😣

I put them lower down, on my thighs.

Yes doc wanted 50 but the practise list said 25 and 75 available. Not 50

Went to chemist who sent his huge stock of 50 back because the manufacturer requested spares and his 75 because he never prescribed them....

So watch this space.

So you go more under the bum cheek curve?

I gave up and got gel

Ponoka7
I have a coil. Mine are oestrogen only I think.

There's a lot to learn I think

Thehag why gel?
What benefits over patches?

I also think the 'dose' ran out from the patch after 2.5 days. I ended up putting a new one on at 2am (rather than proper morning) when I hadn't slept for hours.

I find that I get irritated skin if I put mine on thigh and they did come off in hot weather, so I imagine it wouldn't be good for a sporty person.

I put mine on lower part of abdomen between navel and hips and only occasionally on thigh but front or side.

No, not under bum cheek curve - at the front or side.
