Any charities that take blankets etc?

I'm clearing out a relative's flat and there's quite a lot of perfectly good blankets, sheets etc which it seems a pity to throw away. However, local homeless shelters apparently don't take it. Does anyone know of any charities (ideally in the South-East) who could find a use for it?

Dogs Trust? They use blankets/ fibre duvets & towels. Worth ringing them to check?

I’d say an animal shelter would be your best bet.

Any dog or cat sanctuary will gladly take them off you.

Thanks, I'll give those a try.

Refugee charities if in good condition. Animal charities if not so good.

I bought a lovely thick wool blanket in the Charity shop so some take them. Purse sells duvet covers etc as well.

As pps have said, any animal charities. Or you could ask your local council if they would like them for emergency accomodation

Battersea Cats and Dogs Home at Brands Hatch is always very glad of donations of blankets.

Our local animal charity takes them, also our local Vets.
