Just that really. Since midnight DS has had three bottles - 2x 5oz 1x 6oz - which he has finished. This is not unusual for him, but it feels like a lot for such a young baby. I may just be comparing him to our eldest who didn’t feed well so I don’t know what is actually “normal”.

My son was 9lbs exactly when he was born and had no health issues, he had a healthy appetite and went through periods of cluster feeding, could this be the case for your baby? It's probably not going to be helpful for you to compare your lo eating habits with others though, perhaps keep a diary for a while and consult your home visitor? Congratulations btw Flowers

Babies are individuals. The advice is to responsive feed - if he is looking for that amount, then give him it. Just make sure you’re allowing him to lead the feed, so feeding in a more upright position with the bottle held level, which allows him to pace the feed, rather than the traditional lying down, where they guzzle a bottle because they have no choice.

Thanks, that’s all helpful advice
