I bought the attached dress from a charity shop. I was really excited to wear it but didnt realise it was a midi dress.. I'm quite short but I think I can get away with it but I dont know if it's now a more dressy dress or can I get away with dressing it down in day to day life with converse? Also thought in the winter it might be nice with some chelsea boots? Am I going to look an idiot, I think I just need reassurance!

The cut of it is quite formal and it could look odd but depends on how you carry it off and accessories and hair.

Milomonster That's what I was afraid of. It's a shame as it's a very comfy dress, I'm not sure I'll manage to look cool enough wearing it for everyday. May have to become more of an occasion dress, sigh.

I think you can...women are wearing trainers with similar dresses a lot now. Definitely with Chelsea boots and tights.

You can definitely dress it down with converse or trainers. Would actually look lovely. Also would work with a denim or biker jacket or a shacket. Hope this helps.

defineme maybe i save it for when it's a bit colder and try it with chelsea boots and tights. It comes to between my calf and knee, I dont normally wear chelsea boots with midi dresses but I am only 26 so maybe I just need to step out my comfort zone! Everyone else just looks so nice and relaxed, I'm just worried I wont pull it off 🙈

susue999 great shout on the biker jacket! So excited for it to cool down, hope this becomes one of those go to outfits! But until then I'll keep trying it on and see if I dare step out the house in it with converse. I just need to style it and ask a brutally honest friend🤞

At first I thought no way! to converse. But looking again I think it could work. A short leather/biker jacket I agree with. Primark have some of the faux suede jackets in also Smile

I’d go lace up ankle boots (DM style) you’ll be bang on trend.
