HELP re gift for DH Ruby wedding anniversary.

It's our 40th anniversary on Sunday, while putting some of DH's clothes away, I found a gorgeous ruby ring in a lovely box which was in an old of jeans pocket... Its my size and fits perfect. I have put it back in the box and will show surprise when he gives it me. (don't worry there is a card with my nickname on so it's definitely for me)
My problem is what do I buy him. Please give me some ideas. He likes football, gardening, horse racing.

Do you have children? We recently had our 30th Anniversary and I commissioned an artist to do a pencil portrait of our two DDS.

There must be garden things with a ruby theme. I would love ruby roses or other plants.

Tickets to a flower show is a good idea. There’s Hampton Court, Cheshire and other venues as well as Chelsea I believe.
