Lying very still flat on my back sometimes relieves nausea for me. But generally if your body needs to vomit, you'll usually feel better after you've done it ime.

It depends why you feel sick. Obviously there's no way to avoid illness if you have a virus or something.

I’ve been keeping busy doing housework and it seems to have done the trick for now

Sip a freezing cold drink, just tiny sips often.

Ginger tea might help

Felt sick all day yesterday. Felt absolutely rubbish, but was terrified of actually throwing up.
Finally vomited at 11pm after much lying around on the cool bathroom floor and felt much better afterwards.
Like PP said, if your body needs to throw up, you'll probably feel better afterwards.
Sorry you're feeling unwell. Xx

Sorry for the autopilot kisses at the end! I was also up four times with crying baby in the night. V. Tired.

Eating plain stuff like ready salted crisps helps settle my stomach.

Better out than in my granny used to say. Whatever is making you ill needs to go one way or another.

I don’t mind being sick if that is how this has to go, but would rather head it off at the pass if there was a way.

I used to breathe in through my nose, out through my mouth. That was when I was drunk and it mostly worked Grin

Are you sure it’s not just nausea due to holiday angst / excitement?

HerkyBaby · 02/09/2019 19:37

Had you eaten anything with a high fat content in the 12 hours before feeling sick?

NewNameJust4Today · 02/09/2019 19:47

Def not holiday angst; high fat? Nothing out of the ordinary
