Does anyone have any experience of Hotel Cheyanne or any of the other hotels in DLP. Only stayed in Sequoia lodge but it's coming in so expensive that i'm tempted to save a few £'s. Is it a pain getting too and from compared with staying at newport or sequoia? Thinking of feb time. Thanks in advance.

Disneyland Paris for Brits

Tried the following:

Disney
Santa Fe (okay - felt like Disney factory settings) (slept 4)

1 stop away Val d'Europe RER
Residhome Val d'Europe (double room for 4 people)
ibis Marne La Vallée Val d'Europe (looked doable)

Affiliate hotel
Magic Circus Hotel (Disneyland Paris) lovely time had and complimentary shuttle bus (room for 4 people)

We went into The Disney Hotel for mocktails whilst waiting for the light show which was a treat too! Stayed Disney hotels in other locations and rooms can sleep 5.

It's great we find out secret restaurants and things to do do we've never even seen when we have been before. Cant wait for the Jungle Festival next week. Eeek

Depending on how far in advance you book, the Disneyland hotel is often half price with free dining.

Nightjar1 · 04/09/2019 17:31

Alemony - does this sometimes apply if you book in advance or if you don't book until the last minute?

ALemonyPea · 06/09/2019 23:02

The earlier you book it the better for the big pink hotel.

Nightjar1 · 07/09/2019 18:20

AlemonyPea - I haven't spotted this kind of deal, do you need to look on certain websites?

ALemonyPea · 08/09/2019 21:13

We booked through Thomas cook magic breaks

Daphnesmate · 08/09/2019 21:47

Thanks Alemony. I have just checked their website - they are currently offering 25% off. I have e-mailed them to see if there are any other offers forthcoming.

harly1821 · 09/09/2019 06:28

Depending on when you are looking to go. At the moment if you book for February next year they have the free half board meal plan, possibly March too but I didn't look. Personally I dont feel it's always a good thing, they bump the price up and make out your getting it "free" plus you have to book your restaurants before you go so you then have to plan your days around where your having lunch/dinner. We eat as a family of 4 for about €40 in most of the restaurants so personally I sont think it's always better to have the plan. But that's my opinion.

burnoutbabe · 09/09/2019 06:35

I have stayed Santa Fe and Cheyenne and sequoia lodge, all fairly nice. Cheyenne you can walk out the front and it's a quick walk to the train station from there, quicker than the canal way.
Also stayed magic castle as much cheaper and got shuttles, nice free breakfast there.

Junobug · 09/09/2019 06:41

Have you checked other countries sites? Each country has a different offer on. We booked through through the Swiss site and got children free and free meals so upgrading to Sequoia lodge and all inclusive was cheaper than the uk site for cheaper hotels.

mummaminnie · 09/09/2019 12:17

I didn't know you could do that Juno. I'll keep that in mind in case we go back. Thanks!

harly1821 · 09/09/2019 16:59

Where are flying from? We drive everytime (I hate flying) from York and it's about 10 hours with toilet stops. I've booked Newport Bay Compass Club 12th to 16th Feb for £800 and we get 25% off entrance and 60 tickets a year at €39 for others (as we have annual passes we dont need tickets). Its also worth looking on booking.com and then but tickets elsewhere. I find attractiontickets.com are good. Also if your on the correct forums and are going on the same dates as other Annual pass holders they can help out with cheap entrance.

Septembersunrays · 09/09/2019 17:15

You can go into Disney hotel as non guest, hang out in lobby, upstairs bar, cafe and so on.

nina97 · 10/09/2019 20:34

Thankyou all....guess what...moment of madness and I booked today! Magic breaks, hotel Cheyenne 3 nights 4 days 1159 for half board.....thats good isnt it !!! Im convinced it is. We stayed at Sante Fe last year for 3 nights. Was an easy walk - 15 minutes or so. Didn't use the bus. Room was fine - fairly simple but clean, warm and with a comfortable bed. We didn't eat at the hotel.

We only wanted a base, but as only there a short time - a close base. We knew we'd spend all our time in the parks.

Septembersunrays · 10/09/2019 20:52

Hotel eylesse was brilliantly, reviews mostly excellent. They even gave us junior suite for great deal becsuse we stayed 3 times that year. Not guaranteed but really nice staff. Shuttle opp. First stop on shuttle and it only stopped at 3 other hotels so it never got that busy. The other off site hotels like explorers etc it gets far busier.

Average night was 75 euro. At that time booking in English for magic plus pass was 190 each.
Each visit cost very little, free push chair, parking and % off meals and gifts. Special entrance for pass holders, so you beat the hotel guest queue.
Walk to car or shuttle same or less distance than ' on site hotels'.

Hang out in Disney Hotel.
We really love it. Can't wait to go back when it's expanded to elsa world etc.
However, efteling in Netherlands is somewhere you can really imagine your in fairy land. My dc call it fairy land.
It has huge central real woods and it's referred to as world's largest living story book. Full of fairy tales, all done differently... Magical.
Truly beautiful accommodation with numerous play areas. And loads of play areas. Just going to the parks play areas would be fab holiday.
Disney fell flat on chill out areas.

I didn't really mean "secret restaurants" as such, just we found the "bella norte" restaurant last time we went after like the 5th time. Just silly things you miss as you go around in all the excitement. The annual pass is £400 roughly and the hotels are loads cheaper when you have it but you have to go more than once (at least twice to make it worth while). I have paid £400 for Davy Crocketts with breakfast and full insurance for October 3 nights 4 days and £563 for November in Seqoia lodge for 3 nights 4 days in the Golden Forrest Club just to give you a insight to how good it can be. Plus as I have a euro account as well we only paid €800 for Santa Fe going on Thursday with the Lion King Signature package. Dont get me wrong it wasnt cheap but this is going to be "our Disney year" and it wont be every year. We're trying to do as many of the different Hotels while we have the Annual Pass. Now I'm banging on. Hope this helps. Grin

harly1821 · 10/09/2019 21:08

You have the Magic Shuttle with Disney I believe which is free when you book with them. If not I have used a company called Super Shuttle before. Private car and reasonable prices

Daphnesmate · 15/09/2019 20:03

I've e-mailed 'magic breaks' twice and still no response.

nina97 · 16/09/2019 19:27

@daphnesmate...try the chat button on the right side of the screen. They were really good to me on that..and price was slightly cheaper than online quote. X
