Central Manchester - How Much!!!

I am either spectacularly out of touch, or tight-fisted, or both….

Where can we possibly stay for one night in fairly central Manchester, that isn’t going to cost over a hundred quid!

We are only a 30 minute drive away but really want to indulge in some day-drinking and nobody wants to drive, or have to fanny about catching the last train home. Looking somewhat unlikely though as even bloody Travelodge want over £120 for a room! Any ideas from the collective wisdom of the MN hive mind??!!

Martin Luther King house, Brighton Grove in Rusholme does very reasonable b&b in en-suite rooms and there's free parking. I lived there as a student when it was the Northern Baptist College

Air BnB might have been good... You could have stayed in an apartment.

Not sure how much a taxi would be to Trafford Centre? Trafford Centre West PI is £71

£20-23 or so tops dependent on where in Central Manchester for a late night black cab. Cheaper if local taxi.
