No diagram, but an actual picture. Woo hoo!

Not two spaces compromised, but four.

Anyone prepared to raise me, or quit?

Was there somewhere else in the car park he could have parked?

usernamexox · 01/09/2019 20:57

Don't think there is any alternative for this van & trailer, unless the McD's has coach parking?🤷‍♀️

Bunnybigears · 01/09/2019 20:58

What would you have suggested he did instead?

ThanosSavedMe · 01/09/2019 21:01

I’m not sure what else the driver could have done

Al2O3 · 01/09/2019 21:04

Perhaps not gone to McDonalds and take up four spaces?

OP posts:
RiftGibbon · 01/09/2019 21:08

Saw the same thing outside a Morrisons just the other day.
Problem is there are no large/deep spaces, so there isn't really much else for the driver to do.

AreWeAnywhereNear · 01/09/2019 21:10

Maybe they expect long vehicles to only use the drive thru?

PurpleDaisies · 01/09/2019 21:10

There look like there are a few other spaces available though.

Sparklyring · 01/09/2019 21:16

I'm not sure what else he could have done?!

Nonstopbuttmachine · 01/09/2019 21:22

That would be classed as good parking in Cyprus. Can't see the problem, all within the lines? Grin

DidYeAyee · 01/09/2019 21:22

Ordinarily I'd say he was a twat - but unless there were coach/ lorry spaces I'm not sure what option he had.

Unless there was plenty of suitable parking nearby and he did that to avoid having to walk.

Tensixtysix · 01/09/2019 21:24

How do you think motorhomes park at supermarkets?

ThanosSavedMe · 02/09/2019 20:06

There are other spaces, the driver isn’t blocking the road or any other car. It’s not exactly the same as some dick who can’t park properly or who takes up several spaces for a car that any competent driver would only take one.

twirlypoo · 02/09/2019 20:09

Eh?! He didn’t really have much other choice, if he had gone the ‘right’ way he wouldn’t have blocked the road and another bay length ways. That said, I once got a parking ticket for parking a monster truck across 4 bays (random, I know) I won the appeal as It was clear I physically didn’t fit in just 1 space!

Al2O3 · 02/09/2019 20:09

You are missing my point. If I were parking that, I would not have bent it in the middle. The lady driver (yes not a he was she) could have left it straight. Imagine having to reverse out.

Huh? All your posts are about it taking up four spaces.

IWantMyHatBack · 02/09/2019 20:12
Hmm

Standard to park a car with a trailer across at least two spaces (if one in front of the other). These ones look like they're side by side, so not much choice really. At least it's not sticking out or obstructing anything

Al2O3 · 02/09/2019 20:16

Huh? All your posts are about it taking up four spaces.

And I asked you to raise me. Burger King or Sainsbury's would have been better.

Waitrose would have given me six places.

PrayingandHoping · 02/09/2019 20:20

Have u ever towed a trailer OP? I suspect she left it "bent in middle" so she could drive out forwards easily!

Sweetpotatoaddict · 02/09/2019 20:26

If it hadn’t been bent in the middle it might have encroached into space 5.

Al2O3 · 02/09/2019 20:40

Well 5 is a raise on 4 surely.

IWantMyHatBack · 02/09/2019 21:34

Wtf are you on about? Confused

ThanosSavedMe · 03/09/2019 07:27

I don’t think this is going the way op expected it to. I think we were supposed to go on about how terrible the parking was
