Alternatives to Loestrin Contraceptive

I found out yesterday that Loestrin 30 is unavailable with no date of when it will be back in stock. Has anyone been given an alternative and, if so, what was it?

I have enough until March but I'm panicking as its the only pill I've got on with and I go on holiday in May - I don't want to be trying new things when I'm away as I've reacted badly to different pills in the past.

I'm hoping it will be available by March but I'm planning for the worst as I know there is no direct replacement for Loestrin.

I've had the same issue but I'm now out of my supply. The drs suggested brevinor which is v. similar to loestrin but no stock of that either locally. I've now been switched onto cilest. Watch this space..

I was accidentally sent another 12 month supply in April when I ordered something else on repeat prescription. I'm glad I held on to it now as it means I'm ok for a while but I'm really panicking about what happens next.

I think Cilest was the first pill I tried many years ago and I didn't get on with it so I'm hoping there's something else I can try that will agree with me. I hope you get on OK with it.
